The Bhima Estate
Set in the stunning Upper Hunter Valley in the heart of Australia’s horse capital, Scone, Bhima Stud sits on 600 acres of fertile ground, perfect for growing out strong, sound thoroughbreds.
The numbers of stock on the land at Bhima varies seasonally, between one and two hundred horses including mares, foals/weanlings, yearlings and retirees with an attentive and passionate band of staff of between 15 to 25 to attend to their every need.

The Yearling Barn
Standing since the early days of the property, the barn has turned out some of the best horses to grace the Australasian turf. However, in 2021, the graduates of the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale in May were the last class to call the barn as we knew it home for their preparation. 18 months of hard work has finally paid off with a state of the art facility for every yearling raised on farm. Including a 39 box facility complete with spacious breezeways, two wash bays, crush, scales, feed, tack and storage rooms along with staff kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Our Services
In addition to all your weanling, yearling and broodmare sales preparation needs, we also offer foaling down and agistment with 24/7 on-call veterinarians, expert and specialist providers, locally located with routine visits from our expert farriers, dentists and chiropractors. We also undertake routine soil testing to ensure optimum nutrition.
