Imperatriz was purchased by David Ellis of Te Akua Racing at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for $360,000 from our 2020 draft. To date, she has won 7 Group 1s: 2022 Levin Classic; 2022 New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes; 2023 Waikato RC Railway Stakes; 2023 Waikato Sprint; 2023 William Reid Stakes; 2023 AJ Moir Stakes; 2023 Manikato Stakes and most recently the 2023 VRC Sprint Classic. She has also won 6 other Graded races, and placed second in the G1 Canterbury Stakes. She has now earned over $5.3 million in her lifetime and is the leading Group 1 winner of 2023 worldwide.
