North Pacific is a Group 3-winning son of Brazen Beau, out of the O’Reilly mare Up In Lights. North Pacific was a magnificent $800,000 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale purchase for Orbis Bloodstock. Trained by Michael, John and Wayne Hawkes, his win in the Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes saw him blitz his rivals by a staggering 5l. He then placed in the Group 2 Run To The Rose and was narrowly beaten by a nose in the Group 1 Golden Rose. His final placing saw him run second in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes, before beginning his career at stud at Newgate Farm, with his first crop of yearlings set to sell in 2024.
