A dual Group 3 winner, he placed in the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes, and won half a million in prize money. Scissor Kick is by champion sire of sires Redoute’s Choice, out of the Quest For Fame mare Back Pass. He was offered at the 2013 Inglis Easter Sale by Broadwater Thoroughbreds, where he was knocked down to Paul Messara for $200,000. Scissor Kick went on to win four races culminating in two Group 3 wins, and narrowly being run down in the Group 1 Golden Rose. He was trained by Paul Messara and raced by a partnership of Arrowfield and Pinecliff Racing. At stud, he has sired dual G1 and Everest winner, Giga Kick.
